Schedule your meeting or event in the Commons

It’s easy to hold a meeting or event in the Commons. A hard copy calendar sits in the Commons and a call to a Fare Share staff member can reserve the space for you. To use the Commons during business hours, simply enter through the Market. If you need it in an evening or a weekend, you can borrow a key to the front door of the Commons and return it the following day.

The Commons contains about 40 stackable plastic chairs, two 8-foot tables, a piano, and an accessible restroom.

Here are the Guidelines for using the Commons:

Before Your Event
1. Complete the form below, or contact a Coordinator: Claire Gelinas (743-9044) or Lisa Moore (743-9808).
2. To use the Commons when the Market is NOT open, sign out a key from the Market during business hours (9-6 M-W; 9-7 Th-F; 9-6 Saturdays; closed Sundays).
3. Make sure your event is noted in the book calendar in the Commons, along with the name and phone number of a contact person.

During Your Event:
Invite visitors to sign the Guest Book.
If you are not paying for the space by the hour (or if you like, even if you are!) invite everyone to make a $1 donation to the Commons. This money can be placed in the wooden donation box, and helps keep the Commons open for public use.

After Your Event:
If possible, please sweep the floor and remove trash. Please leave the space as clean as you found it.
Leave usage fee in the donation box in an envelope with your name and the date of your event.
If you’ve borrowed a key, return it to the Market during business hours or place on the donation box when you leave.
