Fare Share Membership is Ownership
Members are the lifeblood of Fare Share. They provide the co-op with equity, labor, vision, and governance. In fact, members collectively own the co-op. Membership is open to everyone and it's easy to sign up. Whether you're a year-round or seasonal shopper-or even a summer visitor--everyone is welcome at Fare Share.
There is a one-time equity fee, currently $20, and annual $10 dues. Fare Share members attend semi-annual membership meetings and can serve on committees throughout the year. Patronage refunds are distributed when surplus occurs. New members attend introductory meetings held the 4th Wednesday of every month. Benefits of Membership
Volunteering
Want to learn to run a cash register? Repack bulk goods? Take inventory? Organize a stockroom? Help with fundraising? Fare Share needs and welcomes members who can volunteer. Members who volunteer receive a 10% discount for four hours of work a month on most store items. See a staff member for more information.
